REGULATION
Article 1
Associazione Musicale Oltremusica with the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria, the patronage of the Region Piedmont, Alessandria’s District and Municipality announces the fifth edition of the
Concorso Internazione di Interpretazione Musicale «Carlo Mosso 2009».
Article 2
The Competition is open to musicians of any age, sex and nationality. The teaching relationship with one of the Board members, implies the exclusion from said Contest..
Article 3
The disciplines admitted are: piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar and chamber music.
The auditions will be held on November 6th-7th-8th, 2009 at Conservatorio «A. Vivaldi» in Via Parma 1, Alessandria - Italy.
All contestants will have to enquire by phone about the day and time of their audition, starting from the 25th of October 2010.
The latecomers will be admitted by Jury discretion, and anyway after all the other contestants.
The time table of the test will be also available in this internet site.
Article 4
Every contestant at the time of his/her audition will have to produce a valid document and copy of the pieces they intend to perform.
Music must not be performed from memory for A and Chamber Music Category.
B and C Category must play from memory, the Board may allow the reading just for Nine Hundred difficult pieces.
Candidates must state their intended repertoire on the application form. The ones whose application form is incomplete will not be allowed to compete.
C Category must perform a piece written from 1950 on (year of composition).
C piano Category must play the piece «Omaggio ad Achille Claudio Debussy» Prof. Carlo Mosso - Rugginenti Edition.
The Organizing Committee makes available to the contestants, Carlo Mosso’s music paper.
All categories must not play unpublished music or pieces made easier.
Article 5
Should a contestant feel adeguate he/she allowed to register in a Category higher.
Article 6
Resulting documentation and filming/recording will not confer on the performers any rights over or compensation for the same. Besides during the Prizes Awarding Concert, recording is not allowed unless authorized by the Organizing Committee.
Auditions are open to the public. No travel and hotel expense will be refunded to the contestants and their chaperons.
Entry fees cannot be reimbursed under any circumstances, except for Contest cancellation.
Article 7
The Jury will be made up of 3-5 musicians. The Jury will have the option of selecting movement or part of the work presented or to abbreviate the duration of the performance. Their judgement is unquestionable. The Jury reserves the right not to award the special Prizes and Scolarship should the execution fail to reach the necessary artistic level. The Jury may also take extraordinary decision not forseen by the regulation, the reasons of wich will be explained in writing in a suitable document signed by the Committee and by the Organization themselves.
Article 8
The Organizing Committee can’t take any responsability for risks or damage of any sort that may befall the contestants during the event.
Article 9
Candidature for the Competition implies acceptance of the regulation.
Article 10
Should any dispute arise the regulation in Italian shall govern.
